Marcus Martin Co-Writes Music for StopGap Foundation’s Short Film, A StopGap Story
Musician Marcus Martin has co-written original music for the StopGap Foundation short film A StopGap Story, alongside composer/mixing engineer Josh Bowman. The film, created by Taeo Levine and Natalie Plourde and edited by Radek Zurawiecki, tells the inspiring story behind the foundation’s mission to make communities more accessible and inclusive.
The StopGap Foundation was founded by Executive Director Luke Anderson, whose life changed after a biking accident in 2002 left him using a wheelchair. Faced with the everyday barriers of a world not designed for accessibility, Luke applied his engineering skills to create a simple, temporary solution to a complex problem—a custom-built, deployable wooden ramp. These brightly coloured ramps not only bridge physical gaps but also spark important conversations about accessibility in creative, positive ways.
A StopGap Story captures that spirit of innovation and resilience, underscored by Martin and Bowman’s original score. Watch it here -> A StopGap Story.
